I had the pleasure of attending the Canterbury Runway Spring Fashion Show 2010, presented by Angela Stone. Designers included Starfish, Andrea Moore, Kooky, Ballentynes Women's and Barkers Men's clothing. An amazing night of gorgeous new seaseon dresses, a sneek peak at cup day fashion ideas, wine and luxury held in the Christchurch convention centre, it was a night to rember! Here are a few fave pic, for more check out http://www.thread.co.nz/

Love at first sigh

What's old is vintage again...

I have a confession to make. My wardrobe of late seems a bit, well predictable. Take one floaty silk dress, to which I add one black blazer, a splash of floral, some tights, add shoes and voila! Don't get me wrong, I adore my wardrobe - a black blazer can take a lace top and a black skirt and make it something truly special, - add it to a crisp white tee and cuffed boyfriend jeans with high, chunky heels in a Stella mccartneyish fashion - a perfect outfit.
My style is a mix of classic pieces shuffled in amongst current trends, interpreted in a modern way. But there is one area which is left to be fully discovered and that is vintage. I crave of variety, spontaneity and randomness, put together with the pieces I own to create something truly unique. I envy those who can find fabulous vintage pieces and make them work in such a way that it still maintains the vintage feel, but transcends as a fashion forward, relevant and inspiring look
So this is the next fashion frontier. A vintage lace dress, in a cream or white is on my radar to team with chunky, doc martin style boots and layer with whimsical, Victorian inspired accessories. Of course, it would look fabulous with a black blazer...

Not so Nude

In love...

Although another broke week was upon me, I managed to secure a pair of my latest love. And it is not just a crush, it is head over heels infactuation. When it comes to fashion, I tend to live by the motto that if you want it bad enough you can make it happened. Love makes people do stupid things! My poor neglected, sensible financial conscience was saying no, but my irrational, lust filled heart soon proved to be the stronger competitor.

I wore these boots today with tights covered in small black polka dots, a floral dress and a military style blazer, rather suitable for a warm and respectful anzac day. The said boots will be given outings paired with a range of delicious stockings, or with vintage jeans, over sized crisp whites tees and a black blazer. Floaty dresses in on trend nude, re- fendi, with sheer tights and a pointy shoulder will take these stunning boots into evening sophistication, and like the perfect love, will have you feeling like a million dollars all night long.
